Campus Life has partnered with the SA Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG), Africa’s Largest Mental Health Organisation. SADAG offers free telephonic or SMS counselling, crisis intervention, and support, as well as referrals to mental health professionals and other psychosocial resources nationwide. Importantly, the helpline is available in all 11 official languages and can be accessed by anyone on any campus.

SADAG & Higher Health understands the complexity of this academic year and recognizes the need for additional support for students and staff. By providing a 24-hour mental health helpline, SADAG & Higher Health hopes to assist those in need and promote wellness across campuses. This service is also an investment in the future health and well-being of students and staff, as it provides resources for coping and managing stress in the long term. SADAG also provides free student Support Groups online or face-to-face.
