Color run hangover

Colour Run

If you have seen some blotches on our campus of all these different colors also on peoples hair, teeth or eyes and for some reason you think that they have somewhat been slapped by a rainbow-you would be forgiven. I’d most certainly think the same thing if I didn’t know about the color run.

For those who don’t know, the Colour Run is an event series and five kilometres paint race that takes place in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and now Africa and South Africa, in particular. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with coloured powder at stations along the run. Too much fun.

This year’s edition was once again held at our beloved South Campus (Campus of champions) and saw thousands of people releasing their inhibitions with paint in their hands. I didn’t take part, simply because I’m not all that keen on looking like a skittle, but it’s certainly fun to watch. AMAZING in fact.

So, if you missed out, check out Facebook, people have surely left traces of their fun on your newsfeed. If not, check it out next year.
